Dermisol Cream is used to help clean wounds and prevent infection in cats, dogs, horses and livestock.
Dermisol is particularly useful when the healing process is impaired by the presence of coagulum, debris, necrotic tissue or wax.
Dermisol can be used on your pets and animals to deal with wounds caused by infection, injury or surgery.
Dermisol Cream can also be used to treat cases of Otitis Externa where the ears should be cleaned with Dermisol Multicleanse Solution prior to applying the cream into your animal's external auditory canal.
You should use Dermisol Cream up to 2 times a day by applying the cream liberally onto your pet or animal's wounds.
Before each Dermisol application it is advisable to cleanse the affected area with Dermisol Multicleanse Solution to remove any cream from previous applications.
Do not use Dermisol Cream in conjunction with other products as this will almost certainly neutralise and reduce its effectiveness.
You should also avoid Dermisol coming into contact with the eyes and wash your hands after use as it may cause irritation.
Dermisol is manufactured by Pfizer/Fort Dodge and contains Benzoic Acid, Malic Acid, Propylene Glycol and Salicylic Acid.
Dermisol Cream comes in 30g and 100g tubes.
Contra-Indications & Warnings
For external use only. For topical use only. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes because of the low pH and a possible irritant effect.
If contact occurs, rinse with clean, fresh water. May cause skin irritation. It is recommended that gloves be worn when handling the product if you have sensitive skin. Wash hands after use.
When used for treating udder lesions in cattle, the udder and the teats should be washed immediately before the next milking.
Do not use in conjunction with other products, e.g. teat dips, udder disinfectants, etc. as these will almost certainly neutralise and reduce the effectiveness of Dermisol.
Do not use in the treatment of otitis externa in animals with a ruptured ear drum.
